I will teach you to do the things you want to do with your computer. I have been teaching young and not so young for over 30 years now. My teachings are not just basic computer skills. You tell me what you want to learn with your computer and I will teach you. My work ethic is --I work for you but I need you to trust me. Don't worry, I will earn that trust. I have over 30 years computer expertise -- I have been building, repairing, and consulting to individuals and businesses in Huntsville and surrounding areas since xxxx. I have done my time on a workbench fixing the problems people bring me and I have worked in many people's homes as well.

I have both personal and business references that you can call to verify that I am the man for the job. I have taken many computer courses over the years to have the "certifications" but they do not amount to anything when dealing with your problems. My time spent talking to computer users, young and old, and, learning how computers work has been the best teachers to me. My methods for teaching and consulting are proven to work time and time again. I guarantee it.
I know what I'm doing and I do not charge you for time to learn what I should already know. My charges will reflect what is needed to get to the end goal. (If I have to learn a specific piece of software or hardware to be able to properly advise you, you will know up-front before any job is agreed upon).
I do not base everything on an hourly rate. Realistically, computer technicians do not receive compensation for all the time they have in a consulting or repair job. Even the most easily accomplished task can have obstacles that are unforeseen -- Slow system, missing files, missing user knowledge, and a thousand other possible variables that will add time to the repair and /or consult. True techs know that an hourly rate is not realistic to both the tech and the customer and they price the job based on their experience of what it will take to complete the job. The only way to know what my charges are is to call and talk with me about what you want to have done and I will give a price at that time.
I attempt to do the all my jobs without data loss or destruction. I will do everything I can to preserve your data with the most cost effective procedures I know. I will teach you how to back up your important data and prevent future loss.
BUT MOSTLY - I am honest. If I can help you with what you want to know or learn, I will tell you. If it is something that is not cost effective or I cannot do, I will tell you. Personally, I do not know of anything I cannot help you with concerning home or small business computers but there is always a first time.

I accept multiple forms of payments -- from PayPal to credit and debit cards. Personal checks require my approval before agreeing to do the job. Cash is always accepted.
I will also consider barter and trades for services. There are things I am always looking for -- Cameras and camera gear, old guns, holsters, poker chips, western stuff, and anything I can use for photography props -- different electronics -- cell phones -- these are just some of the things I am always looking for.
