In this job, here are some of the duties to be performed: The Desktop Support role provides help desk and desktop support assistance to company employees. This position provides support and hands-on resolution of technical issues, completes technical requests, performs needs assessments, evaluates solutions, and provides end-user instructional assistance. It requires the ability to competently detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, to include escalation when applicable. This position requires regular interface with the all departments within the company, and interacts with both technical and non-technical employees. This individual will apply proven customer service and analytical skills to make the appropriate recommendations in order to improve support capabilities. Must be able to operate independently with minimal direct supervision. Responsibilities: The Desktop Support position is responsible for performing the following job functions: Utilize a Help Desk ticketing system to manage incoming support requests, to include ticket assignment, ticket handling, and detailed resolution notes Perform hardware and software installation activities for the PC/laptop environment Troubleshoot, diagnosis, and resolve PC, laptop, phone, and software issues Provide end-user technical assistance, to include instructional training and preparation of user guides when applicable Perform administrative functions on the corporate phone system to include phone set installs and administration of extensions and voice mailboxes. Create & maintain technical and process documentation as required for corresponding job functions Review existing support processes and recommend technical and process enhancements
